hi guinea
hi bloggers i am so frusterated i don't know what to name my guinea pig!! can you guys help me asap (as soon as possiple ) plz hELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can go to the library and get a baby name book. There are lots of good names in there. Or maybe there's a character from a book or a movie whose name you like. I happen to think Bellatrix LaStrange is a great name for a girl guinea pig. My sons' guinea pigs were named Squeek-Squeek and Wheat-Wheat; those were the noises they made. (The guinea pigs, not my sons.) Wheat-Wheat fell off the couch and had a broken leg. She wore a purple cast for a few weeks. Guinea pigs are very fragile animals and they have to be handled VERY gently. It's best not to play with them on the bed or anywhere up high where they can fall and hurt themselves. Our vet told us not to put guinea pigs in those clear plastic balls that roll on the floor. They're okay for hamsters but guinea pigs have injured their backs in them. Good luck with choosing a name and don't worry if you can't think of a "perfect" one; the main thing is being good to your pet and realizing that she is a living creature with feeling and likes and dislikes. Guinea pigs are cute but they're not like the animals in cartoons always running around and doing funny things. Sometimes they just want to sleep or hide in a nest. My sons made nests for their pigs out of old wool hats.
